What is IndiaCos?
IndiaCos is a free public directory of Indian businesses. It brings GST registrations, company and LLP records, directors and court cases together on one page per business, built from public government records.
How do I check if a GST number is genuine?
Type the 15-character GSTIN into the search box. IndiaCos checks the check digit, decodes the state and PAN inside it, and shows the registration status, date, business type and jurisdiction.
Can I find all GST registrations under one PAN?
Yes. Search the 10-character PAN and IndiaCos lists every GSTIN we hold that carries that PAN, across states.
Does IndiaCos show court cases against a company?
For companies, LLPs and firms, the business page lists court cases where a party of the same name is a respondent, with cheque-bounce, fraud, insolvency and recovery cases flagged. A name match is not proof of identity, so each case links to its full record.
Is the data free to use?
Yes. Pages, the open API and the monthly datasets are free, with attribution to IndiaCos.
